REF: IDLE
PRE-SEASON TOPLISTBEST STREAK
    VERSION ONE / EARLY BUILD

    WELCOME TO THE FIRST THROW!

Play Rock, Paper, Scissors using your webcam!

This is the first, probably quite scuffed, version of Throwdown. It has been vibe coded by a complete clown. Down below is where you'll find him.

    PLAY THROWDOWN!

Choose a ruleset and play ranked under your Twitch identity. Win consecutive matches to climb the live and all-time boards.

    CHOOSE RANKED RULESET

    CUSTOM LOBBY

Host a private room with your rules, or join one with its room code. Custom matches are always unranked.

    PRACTICE

Warm up against the bot. It throws hands and occasionally gets itself disqualified so you can see every flow. No login needed.

      FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

      01
      Get matched

Cameras and mics connect peer to peer. After the VS intro, the first-round countdown begins.

      02
      Throw on the call

First stable shape locks in. Too slow, unclear or no hand is a DQ.

      03
      Run the streak

Win ranked matches back to back. Skipping a live match resets you to zero.

Is my camera recorded or stored?

No. Video and mic go directly between you and your opponent over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection (WebRTC). Our server only passes the connection handshake and never sees a single frame. When the privacy relay is active, it forwards encrypted packets it cannot read. Nothing is recorded, stored or watched by anyone.

      What data do you keep?

Your public Twitch identity, Throwdown profile, ranked stats, up to 50 recent matches, and any blocks or reports you create. Camera and microphone content is never stored.

Can opponents see my IP address?

No. All match traffic is forced through a relay server, so both players only ever see the relay's address, never each other's.

How does the AI referee work?

A hand-tracking model runs inside your own browser and reads a 21-point skeleton of your hand. The referee logic checks the shape, the timing and that you don't switch after showing. Your video is never sent anywhere for the AI to work.

Someone was awful on camera. What do I do?

Skip instantly; you never have to stay. Signed-in players can use SAFETY during a match to report or block an opponent. A block keeps both of you out of each other's future matchmaking, and can be removed under Settings.

My camera or mic is not working

The camera check screen has pickers to switch camera and microphone, plus a mic volume slider. If the pickers are empty, allow camera access first, or use the camera icon in your browser's address bar to manage device permissions.

      PLAYER SAFETY

Take action on your current opponent. Reports are tied to this verified match.
